Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-28 (v1)
In one paragraph
MedFast.AI is an information tool that translates medical documents into plain language. It is not a doctor, not a diagnosis, and not medical advice. The AI can be wrong. Always confirm with a qualified medical professional. You use it at your own risk, subject to these terms.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using MedFast.AI (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to create an account. You may add family members under 18 (your children, dependants) to your Family Vault as the parent or lawful guardian responsible for their data.
3. What the Service is
MedFast.AI translates medical documents you upload into plain language across English, Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada, and Tamil. It also offers companion tools: a family vault, history, trend graphs, a drug-interaction checker, a Health Passport QR, notes, vaccinations, and a health-background profile.
All of these are information aids. They support your understanding of what your doctor has written or done. They do not replace consultation with a qualified medical professional.
4. What the Service is NOT
- Not a doctor. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or recommend treatment.
- Not telemedicine. Not a substitute for a consultation under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.
- Not a medical device within the meaning of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act / CDSCO regulations.
- Not an emergency service. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in India) — do not rely on the Service.
- Not always accurate. The AI can be wrong. Confirm any interpretation with a qualified medical professional before acting on it.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate registration information.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Only upload documents you have the right to upload.
- If you upload documents for family members, you confirm you are their parent, lawful guardian, or have their consent.
- Do not attempt to use the Service to abuse, attack, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse it.
- Do not use the Service for clinical, diagnostic, or research purposes that require regulatory certification.
6. Prohibited use
- Practising medicine, dentistry, or any regulated health profession through the Service.
- Re-distributing the Service's output as professional medical advice.
- Scraping, mass-downloading, or automated access without our written permission.
- Uploading content that is not a medical document or that attempts to manipulate the AI (prompt injection, jailbreaks).
- Anything illegal under Indian law.
7. Account suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or remain unapproved for an extended period. You can delete your account at any time from the account page.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, source code, brand, and the AI prompts we use are our intellectual property. You own the documents you upload — uploading them grants us a limited, single-use licence to process them through our AI provider for the purpose of returning your explanation, after which the document and the explanation are not retained on our server.
9. AI-generated content
All explanations, summaries, comparisons, drug-interaction checks, and other outputs are produced by third-party large language models. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or omissions. Always confirm with a qualified medical professional before acting on any output.
10. Disclaimers & no warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the AI's output will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedFast.AI (and its operator, employees, and contractors) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or any other intangible loss — arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or any decision (medical or otherwise) made on the basis of an output from the Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months (which, for a free user, is zero).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising from your misuse of the Service, breach of these Terms, violation of any law, or infringement of any third-party right.
13. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may change the Service or these Terms at any time. If a change is material, we will require you to re-acknowledge it via the in-app safety notice or an email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, India. Before bringing a claim, you agree to first raise the issue with our Grievance Officer (named in the Privacy Policy) and allow up to 30 days for resolution.
